Mindfulness practices are entirely secular and can be universally learned by anyone, though they are rooted in the Buddhist meditation tradition.
Mindfulness is a natural human quality and we all have capacity for awareness. With practice, mindful awareness can be developed and implemented in everyday life, allowing us to live more fully and clearly, without worrying about the future or dwelling on the past.
Paying attention to present moment experience with an attitude of friendly curiosity, kindness and openness leads to improvements in decentering, gives the ability to see thoughts and feelings as transient experiences and to respond to difficulites skillfully rather than reacting habitually.
Mindfulness helps us to notice stress building and unhelpful patterns of negative thoughts. This simple shift of awareness brings reduction in rumination and worry, increases in positivity, patience and self- compassion, it contributes to improvements in mental health and well-being.
Moment by moment, we can find a balanced place from which to meet life’s challenges with greater inner stability, resilience and confidence.
Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy is a combination of Mindfulness that is rooted within ancient wisdom and meditative practices and cognitive behavioural methods developed within modern psychological science. Although they have different perspectives, both offer specific ways to become more familiar with the mind and learning to work with it more skillfully.
MBCT-L is built on the framework of the original 8-week program MBCT developed by Zindel Segal, Mark Williams and John Teasdale with the particular focus on people with repeated episodes of depression however has been designed to be relevant to the whole population that can benefit from the potentially transformative power of such program. It is for use in mainstream, everyday settings and aims to be of help to people across the spectrum of mental health and well- being.
MBCT-L is 8 week long structured program on weekly basis, providing largely experiential learning including informal and cognitive practices.
Our lives have never been busier and our mental struggles have never been greater. In this constantly changing and fast paced world Mindfulness can become the pillar of strength allowing us to calm the minds, find inner stability and give a new perspective to ever lasting question on how we can live a better life free from suffering.
This is how I have come to embrace this life skill, which became my new way of being and then turned into a passion of sharing that skill with other people.
I strongly believe that Mindfulness is a powerful way of living that can equip us in necessary tools for balanced, calmer and meaningful existence.
My journey started in 2019 when I experienced life difficulties. Never I did imagine how transformative impact it would have had on my life. From restless, always on auto- pilot and agitated person I became present, aware and self- regulated which allowed me to approach daily struggles with greater ease, clarity and contentment. All that led me to become dedicated and passionate Mindfulness teacher.
Life challenges will always come and go but what can change is how we approach and relate to them. I can not wait to be a part of your own journey.
